Journal of Anhui Traditional Chinese Medical College (formerly known as Journal of Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine) is an academic journal of traditional Chinese medicine supervised by Anhui Provincial Department of Education and sponsored by Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Founded in 1981, the journal was initially a quarterly, and then changed to a bimonthly in 1996. Since 2009, the number of pages was increased to 80, and further increased to 96 in 2012. 2013, approved by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the journal was officially renamed as Journal of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (AUTCM).
The journal is characterised by highlighting the features of Chinese medicine and local characteristics of Anhui Province, and its columns include theoretical research, literature research, Xin'an medical research, clinical research, clinical experience, acupuncture and meridian, experimental research, prescription and medicine research, teaching and research, and review, etc., of which the column of Xin'an medical research has uniqueness in the whole country, and has been highly praised by the readers.
Journal of Anhui Traditional Chinese Medical College serves as a platform for academic exchanges, actively reflecting scientific research, medical treatment, teaching achievements and experiences of Chinese medicine within and outside the university, the province, and at home and abroad, promoting academic exchanges and the transformation of scientific research results, and fostering talents in Chinese medicine. The journal is included in many databases, such as China Science and Technology Core Journals (China Science and Technology Paper Statistical Source Journals), China Academic Journals Impact Factor Annual Report, RCCSE China Core Academic Journals (A-), and included in international databases, such as Chemical Abstracts of the United States.
