Clinical Journal of Medical Officers (monthly) was founded in 1973. Its original name was "Medical Education Materials" and it was an internal material. In 1991, the name was changed to "Medical Education Research". In 1996, it was renamed "Journal of Medical Colleges of the People's Liberation Army", which mainly reports on the achievements and experiences in teaching, medical care and scientific research of 10 medical colleges in the army, and began to be publicly distributed at home and abroad. In 2000, it was renamed to its current name "Journal of Clinical Military Medicine", which is open to clinical military doctors in the military medical and other medical units, and is publicly distributed at home and abroad through China Post and China International Book Trading Company.
The main columns of the magazine include: expert written talks, treatises, experimental studies, clinical reports, case reports, reviews, etc.
Clinical Journal of Medical Officers is now a statistical source journal for Chinese scientific and technological papers (China's core science and technology journal), and is included in more than 20 authoritative indexes and databases at home and abroad, including the American Chemical Abstracts (CA).
