Due to the increasing number of confirmed cases and accumulating clinical data, in addition to the predominant respiratory symptoms, a significant proportion of patients with COVID-19 experience neurological complications. Presumedly, several mechanisms, such as direct viral effects on the brain parenchyma and endothelium, and activation of the inflammatory and thrombotic pathways, cause these neurological disorders.
