The precursors were spin-coated on glass substrates and annealed at 150 °C for 2 h to obtain hydrophobic coatings. Chemical structure of was determined by infrared spectroscopy. Hydrophobicity was measured from drop contact angle, ranging between 70 and 93º. Hydrophobicity increased with the number of silane groups until a certain limit before losing it.
