The course was held at the Eventhotel Pyramide, V\\\"osendorf, Austria from 26 May to 5 June, in collaboration with MedAustron. Following introductory lectures on radiobiological and oncological issues, the basic requirements on accelera- tors and beam delivery are reviewed.
