Female F. taxideae migrated into the dermis of the host and deposited their ova beneath the epidermis. Lesions developed gradually around the groups of ova, and no haemorrhagic lesions were observed on gross examination. First-stage larvae were observed at the periphery of developing and healed lesions along with embryonated ova.
