This article outlined the relevant aspects of nasal anatomy, physiology & biological, physicochemical and pharmaceutical factors that must be considered during formulation development of nasal sprays. Nasal drug delivery system is the most preferable route than other routes of administration as it gives rapid onset of action. It is considered as a convenient and reliable route for local and also for systemic administration of drugs.
