Pengaruh Variabel Keruangan pada Periode Awal Penyebaran Pandemi Covid 19 di Kota Surabaya
19, Penyebaran Awal ABSTRACT The spread of Covid -19 so far has always been associated with a person who carries the virus. However, many do not realize that so far the intervention carried out by the government, in general, is an intervention on spatial patterns such as partial lockdowns, regional quarantine, and also restrictions on access to other public activities. This research has the hypothesis that a particular space character can affect the spread rate faster than other spaces. A positivistic approach using linear regression is used in approaching this study to get an idea of how much spatial variables affect the distribution of covid-19 in the Surabaya city area. Based on the results, it was found that there were 3 periods of the spread of Covid 19 in the City of Surabaya, in the early (initial) period, the PSBB period, and the new normal period. During the initial distribution period, it was found that the spatial variables had an effect of 61% on the spread of Covid 19 with the variables that affected the spread of Covid 19 were the number of social facilities and the number of distribution of coffee shops (warkop) with the concentration of spatial distribution in South, East,
