Lightning current components for lightning direct effect test consist of component A (initial strode), component B (Intermediate current), component C (Continuing current) and component D (Restrike). Lightning current components A and D can be produced by the type of RLC circuit and crowbar circuit. The efficiency of the conventional RLC circuit in generating long duration time impulse current wave is relative low.
