Furthermore, the characteristics and advanced applications of natural lipoproteins and tailor-made lipoprotein-inspired nano-DDSs are summarized. Specifically, the key designs and current applications of lipoprotein-inspired nano-DDSs in the field of brain disease therapy are intensively discussed.
