The research aimed to address the difference in perception to exist between Generation X and Generation Y and the influence of social media in shaping these perceptions. \nMethodology: The research made use of the quantitative method of research by the help of survey method. \nFindings: The corresponding findings showed that social media has an influence on perception of feminism in Generation X and Generation Y. Generation X were found to harbor primitive perceptions on feminism, Generation X was aware of female oppression and discrimination but did not see feminism as an answer to the problem. Generation Y showed better understanding of feminism and more awareness. \nImplications: Social media was found to play a monumental role in shaping opinions and perceptions. 摘要
