Subsidio de combustible en la estructura de costos del sector de transportación pública masiva en Ecuador

Fuel subsidies become a key element of the economy. The objective of this research work was to analyze the incidence of the fuel subsidy in the structuring of costs of the mass transport sector in Ecuador, which has proven to be one of the most dynamic sectors for the country’s economy. The reduction of the fuel subsidy has currently caused serious problems for a part of society. The methodology used was non-experimental with a quantitative approach, to determine the VAR model used in this study, the Gretl e Eviews software was used. Demonstrating the model that there is no causality or cointegration between the variables used; However, a high degree of correlation was determined and that the direct costs variable is stationary while the other variables do not show stationarity.
