The study finds that training abroad presents significant economic returns, while the potential benefits of training abroad for faculty members who have not yet pursued training abroad are higher than the benefits for faculty members who have pursued training abroad; a nonlinear relationship exists between the period of time for which a faculty member pursues training abroad and the economic benefits thereof, with the order of the economic benefits of training abroad from least to most for different time periods being: 1 year, less than one half year, more than one half year to less than 1 year, and more than 1 year. 摘要

出国培训是促进教师专业化发展、提高国际水平的重要途径。本文以2014年中国教师调查数据为基础,运用倾向得分匹配技术控制样本中的自我选择偏差,定量评价教师出国培训的经济效益。研究发现,出国培训具有显著的经济回报,而对于尚未出国培训的教师来说,出国培训的潜在收益高于已经出国培训的教师;教师出国留学的时间与经济效益之间存在非线性关系,不同时期出国留学的经济效益由小到大的顺序为:1年、不到半年、超过半年到不到一年、超过一年。研究结论为今后教师专业发展路径的选择,以及海外培训项目的设计和完善等提供了经验依据。
