In the description of ontologies, the OWL-DL language is used. The ontology of the field of knowledge «hydroacoustics» contains a formal description of the concepts of the subject domain of hydroacoustics, their definitions, examples of the use in the texts corpora of publications, lexical and semantic relations. The method of creating ontologies is based on the automated construction of thesauri and the dynamic processing of information resources with the involvement of experts.
