Selected important properties of polyamides and their synthesis reactions were briefly presented. The heterocyclic moieties displayed a wide range of applications in medicine and industry. New heterocyclic derivatives obtained by linking heterocyclic moiety to amic acids and imides found diverse applications: as surfactants, antimicrobial agents, or corrosion inhibitors.
