That is why information security plays an important role. Taking into account the rapid development of information technologies, it is becoming increasingly difficult to protect information, which is why the need to protect a computer from unauthorized access, theft of confidential information, exposure to malware is a priority in the field of computer technology and information security. This article presents the main threats to the security of a home computer, presents the results of a comparative analysis of ways to protect a home computer from virus, spyware, hacker, advertising and spam attacks, as well as from unauthorized access to information stored on a personal computer.
