Through his writings you can discover his great interest in medicine, natural sciences, anthropology and history. His scientific spirit allowed him to recognize in hookworm the etiology of a disease known in the region as the Tun-tun; identify the origin and characteristics of the poison used by the Indians in the Choco; study the aborigines that inhabited the Antioquia territories and deserve that a plant bear its name Posadaea Sphaerocarpa, to transcend time as part of the characters who left their mark on universal history.
