Biochemistry of development of the insect Dacus oleae. Evolution of free amino acids
1.
1. Changes in the levels of free amino acids were studied during the metamorphosis of Dacus oleae.
2.
2. Alanine and glutamic acid occur in the highest concentrations.
3.
3. The more general variation is that exhibited by aspartic acid, threonine, serine, glutamic acid, glycine, alanine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, histidine and tryptophan.
4.
4. Their levels are not significantly affected during larva-pupa transition and decline in the adult stage.
