To calculate basic parameters (resistance, inductance and capacitance) which result in simple validated models (either of concentrated or distributed parameters) to simulate the operation of lines, some expressions have been developed with a complexity that hinders their assimilation. To facilitate the alignment between teaching and learning, a set of virtual laboratories using Matlab© has been developed to facilitate the understanding of the operation of high voltage lines.
