This episode remains a topic of discussion in the Romanian, Polish and Ukrainian historiographies, the opinions being split either in favor of the instatement of the Polish administration in Hotin, Țețina and Hmelov in year 1436, or supporting the Moldovan ruler’s failure to fulfill his promise.
