TAXONOMIC COMPOSITION OF BIRDS OF LAKE BEYUK- SHOR OF THE AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC

Beyuk - Shor Lake is one of the largest lakes in Azerbaijan. It is located on the Absheron Peninsula of Azerbaijan. Environmental monitoring carried out in the autumn and winter periods made it possible to determine the taxonomic composition, the nature of the stay on the lake, the identification of ecological groups and the frequency of visits to the lake by various bird species by year. During our work in the autumn-winter periods of 2015 -2019 years on the lake, both sedentary and migratory birds were recorded, and their species composition was determined. The status of stay for migratory birds is determined: wintering, nesting, nesting — wintering, migratory. On the lake recorded species includ-ed in the Red Book of the Azerbaijan Republic (Mute Swan; Cygnus olor ) and the IUCN Red List (European honey buzzard; Pernis apivorus ).
