The recognition algorithm used is based on Dynamic Programming (DP) matching. XY coordinate, directional vector Dynamic Positional Warping (DPW) is used as data. New Inter Stroke Information was also developed and used. The information can represents shape of character. Test data are obtained by following steps: 1) taking a movie which record drawing a character string with a laser pointer on screen; 2) binarization; 3) closing operation; 4) noise rejection; and 5) thinning process. Training data are recorded with a pen - tablet.
