The quasi-rigorous solution is found accurate for DRAs with such shape. The radiation characteristic of the DRA is investigated, which indicates that it is a qualified candidate for conformal antennas. Additionally, the cambered DRA is actually deformation of a rectangular DRA. Therefore, the two kinds of DRAs are compared to study the deformation effect. It shows that the resonant frequency and bandwidth stay almost the same. Nevertheless, beamwidth of the cambered DRA is obviously wider than its rectangular counterpart. The beamwidths in E- and H-planes are broadened by nearly 30% and 50%, respectively.
