It is one of the most important wetlands for waterfowl in the Gangetic plain supporting a huge number of various species of migratory and resident avifauna. A total of 61 species of trees include two bamboo species belonging to 51 genera and 29 families have recorded from the Kanwar Taal of Begusarai, Bihar.
