Minimum moment required to bind a charged particle to an extended dipole
The problem of the minimum dipole moment of a finite dipole which will bind a charged particle is solved. First it is shown that such a value exists, and then a numerical solution is obtained using a previously published result. An approximate analytic result is also given.
