The dimensionality of the scale was estimated by Exploratory Factorial Analysis with Random Intercept. The results revealed an unidimensional structure of the SMM, corroborating the theoretical hypothesis, with good indicators of reliability. Correlations between SMM scores and Lipp’s Stress Symptom Inventory were also estimated, which indicated negative and low magnitude associations between stress mindset and stress symptoms, corroborating the hypothesis of instrument validity.
