The generation system composed by a wind turbine system in order to satisfy a randomly power demand under a given service level and during a finite horizon. The goal of this work is to develop a jointly energy production and maintenance strategy optimization for the wind turbine production system. An economical energy production plan and an optimal maintenance strategy are determined in order to minimize the total cost of production, holding and maintenance by establishing a relationship between the energy production rates and the deterioration degree of the wind turbine. The key of this work is to reflect the impact of the variation of the energy production rates on the failure rate of the wind turbine.
