The objective of this study was to evaluate caregivers’ perception of the value and practical usage of a color-coded wallet WAAP compared to a full-page, black/white plan. Both WAAPs are given at every appointment with education for use. A survey regarding both WAAPs was completed by caregivers of children seen in a pediatric asthma clinic. Surveys included twenty-three multiple choice and two open-ended questions. A total of 32 surveys were completed. Ninety-seven percent and 90% of parents reported the full-page and wallet WAAP as extremely or somewhat useful, respectively. Despite instruction, only 19% of caregivers reported showing a WAAP to their pharmacy, even with 90% reporting they carried the wallet WAAP in their purse/wallet.
