Factors of sexual satisfaction and desire through behaviors and intervention
Clinically, this issue brings a good deal of information to the forefront for mental health providers to take into consideration. As I often do with the issues, I peruse the articles and attempt to “group” them into similar thematic areas so similar information can be gleaned. This issue brings us topical areas such as advancing our understanding female sexuality, aging sexuality, satisfaction and functioning based on behavioral characteristics, and we even see and get a new scale assigned to an issue (but has been popular through our online first process)—the Consumption of Pornography Scale—General. An exciting element of this issue is the widespread nature of the data that has been discovered—both geographically (all over the globe!), age wise, and the way in which the researchers and authors approached the data and process are very interesting. Several qualitative studies are present in this issue, providing rich context for interpretation, with a balanced amount of quantitative data being presented.
