Analysis of the theoretical, methodological and legal foundations of the essence of strategic management

The present study is devoted to the analysis of the essence of strategic management its theoretical, methodological, and legal foundations. In Russian theory and practice, the issues of the state and functioning of the organizational and management system for the implementation of the strategic approach in the management of the Russian Federation have been comprehensively studied, despite differences in aspects and details. As part of the study, a retrospective analysis of key regulatory legal acts regulating the application of the strategic approach in the Russian Federation was carried out. In addition, the article presents the main tasks of the strategizing process, the paradigm shifts of strategic planning, as well as the stages of its development. The author conducted a retrospective analysis of the application of the strategic approach in management and described the state of the strategic approach in management at the present stage. Based on the results of the analysis, the author developed proposals for improving the strategic management system.
