The sample was prepared by citric acid assisted sol-gel synthesis method followed by high temperature annealing. The phase of the prepared phosphor has been identified from the XRD pattern. For morphological properties, FESEM image have been taken. The d-d transitions of Cr3+ ion were observed from photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra. Lifetime was calculated from the decay curve.
