OVNIS Y EXTRATERRESTRES EN LA CIENCIA FICCIÓN DE HUGO CORREA: PROBLEMA TEÓRICO Y RECURSO LITERARIO

espanolResumen: El presente articulo busca ilustrar la relacion teorica y literaria que sostuvo Hugo Correa con el universo de los ovnis y los fenomenos extraterrestres a lo largo de su carrera. A partir de la revision de sus obras relativas a los fenomenos alienigenas es posible constatar la presencia de teorias ufologicas y topicos tradicionales de la ciencia ficcion, pero, al mismo tiempo, la intervencion de mitos, costumbres y folklor campesino chileno, conjuncion que doto a su literatura de un rasgo local, contribuyo a desarrollar su identidad literaria y aporto a la construccion de una ciencia ficcion propiamente chilena. EnglishAbstract: This article seeks to illustrate the theoretical and literary relationship that Hugo Correa sustained with the universe of UFOs and extraterrestrial phenomena throughout his career. From the revision of his works related to the alien phenom ena, it is possible to verify the presence of ufological theories and traditional science fiction topics, but, at the same time, the intervention of myths, customs and Chilean peasant folklore, conjunction that provided his work with a local feature, contributed to develop his literary identity and helped in the construction of properly Chilean science fiction.
