Detection of polyketide synthase (PKS) genes using DOP-PCR techniques.</p></div><div><h3>Results</h3><p>Endophytic <em>Phomopsis</em> sp. identified by morphological as well as molecular techniques, which exhibited broad a spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram positive and Gram negative human and phytopathogenic bacteria and fungi. Isolation and characterization of antimicrobial metabolite producing endophytic Phomopsis sp. from Ficus pumila Linn. (Moraceae)
Background/Aim
An endophytic fungus belongs to the genus Phomopsis was isolated from stem of Ficus pumila (Moraceae) and identified based on morphological and molecular characteristics.
