The article considers the current state of strategic planning in the practice of manufacturing industries of the Russian Federation. The review of the main directions of the state industrial policy in relation to manufacturing industries in the field of strategic planning is given, as well as the key challenges and opportunities for the development of this activity in Russia are considered, the state of the manufacturing industry at the national level is assessed on the basis of statistical reports. Strategic Planning of the Development of Manufacturing Industries in the Russian Federation
