We elaborate the design issues such MCTF scheme, filter selection, group of picture size, wavelet coefficient coding, and develop an efficient coding system. Simulation results show that the proposed system using 1/3 filter has the best coding performance. The bit rate saving is over 20% compared with lossless still image coder such as JPEG-LS.
