High repetition rate ultrashort pulse train generation in the tapered silicon ridge waveguide
We numerically demonstrate the generation of a high-repetition-rate ultrashort pulse train in a 5-cm-long tapered silicon waveguide. Pulse width of a single pulse in the pulse train is compressed from 1.5625 ps to 102.4 fs.
