However, few eco-city standards can be found in terms of urban planning which plays an essential part in guiding and controlling the development of a city. Beginning from studies of eco-city theories, practices and indicator systems from both China and abroad, the study analyzes the current situation in Wuhan city and put forward a feasible framework of eco-city planning indicators for Wuhan city by integrating the concept of eco-city development into the current planning system.
