The results are recorded as a part of a capstone project that took place in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Abu Dhabi Men’s College. The use of standard psychrometric chart in the analysis revealed better understanding of the concepts and basis of evaporative cooling process. As a result, new findings, regarding the effect of the outdoor relative humidity on the sensible and latent heat were obtained It was identified graphically using the psychrometric chart and through calculation that both sensible (Qs) and latent (Ql) heat decrease as the relative humidity increases. More importantly it was found that the rate with which Qs and Ql gets lower as RHo increases.. The use of psychrometric chart also revealed clearly that all the experiments conducted were very close to adiabatic, confirming strongly the theoretical analysis. Analysis showed better understanding of the process under different ambient operating conditions.
