The analgesic activity of allantoin was assessed in acetic acid-induced writhing test in mice with i.p. injection. The results of the research indicated that the analgesic activity of allantoin was similiar to that of aspirine. After administrated of allantoin regularly and repeatedly, the mice did not reveal addiction phenomenon.
