Accordingly, cooperative spectrum sensing is proposed to effectively increase detection reliability by dealing with different soft and hard patterns in the fusion center. In the present work, we analyzed various soft and hard fusion rules. Improved Square Law Combining (SLC) rules are proposed to provide better detection performance than the conventional scheme. To validate the introduced rule, MATLAB simulations were conducted revealing the out-performance of the proposed schemes over the conventional one even in a critical wireless environment with a low signal-to-noise ratio.
