The results indicate that BDN-SA LB films consist of numerous ball-like microcrystalline domains at size scales from a few tens to a few hundreds of nm. AFM images of a multilayer LB film show that well-ordered molecular arrangements exist on the surface of domains which resemble a mosaic structure.
