On the existence of negative beryllium and magnesium ions
On extraction of negative ions from a metal vapour plasma of a Penning discharge, the existence of Be−, BeH−, Mg− and MgH− ions could be demonstrated. The currents produced were sufficient for an acceleration of these ions.
