Firstly, the relationship between social support and life satisfaction were significant, therefore it confirmed social support should be expanded to improve new-middle aged life satisfaction. Secondly, the desire for social status, self-realization and leisure utilization were significantly influenced in the relationship between the desire for re-employment and life satisfaction. Thirdly, the re-employment desire had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between social support and life satisfaction.
