Suicide knows no age, gender, social status, and position. Suicide can happen anywhere and anytime. Judging from the life journey of a person who is different, suicide is one way to end his life due to the many problems or burdens he faces. In the case of suicide by leaving a will, it is necessary to investigate whether the victim wrote the message or someone else. So it is necessary to examine the factors behind the incident so that it can find out and conclude why the suicide incident occurred. Therefore, the research is focused on the discourse of wills to show the causes of suicide by seeking information related to the suicide case, how the social environment is and finding linguistic elements and linguistic characteristics of will discourse. This study takes data on suicide wills because suicide wills are evidence of suicide actors who have messages of desire to be given to their recipients. Therefore, the study took three cases of suicide leaving a will as data because these three cases were widely exposed in online media. The research uses forensic linguistic analysis, semantics, and discourse analysis which aims to identify the causes of people writing suicide wills and the linguistic elements of suicide wills discourse.
