The objective was to implement improvement actions, through the 8D's methodology, to reduce rework and increase production. The procedure implied forming a team; defining the problem; implementing containment actions; identifying and verifying the root cause; determining permanent corrective actions; identifying and implementing permanent corrective actions; preventing the recurrence of the problem and/or root cause, and acknowledging the effort of the team.
