To solve these problems, we put forward a method to establish the ontology about traffic information. In this paper, we analyzed the similarity of logical structure relationships between ontology and traffic information data element, the corresponding relationships of constituent elements and the similarity of these relationships firstly, demonstrated the feasibility of interconversion between data element and ontology.
