The article reveals modern aspects of the creation and implementation of digital gas production technologies. The issues of digital modernization of gas production in the context of reducing the carbon footprint are outlined. The main problems in the implementation of digital modernization of the gas industry are identified: an acute shortage of personnel with digital competencies in the field of gas production, including specialists in opticalization, multi-sensorization, supercomputing, cybersecurity and petrorobotics. The humanitarian aspects of the introduction of strong artificial intelligence systems and petrorobotics of gas production are emphasized, in particular, the issues of retraining engineering and technical personnel for new digital specialties.
