Data were collected by biometric scanner (USB finger print reader). The mean values of Total finger ridge count and Absolute finger ridge count were higher among the males than females, with sex difference significant ,they were compared with several previous studies on different endogamous population the mean values of total finger ridge count of our study were more similar to Naga people of Mysore.
