Hypersensitivity reaction after Procto-Glyvenol application
Treatment of haemorrhoidal disease is very often based on the local application of suppositories or creams. These preparations are widespread and often available over the counter. Most of the measures it contains several active ingredients, including painkillers, vasoprotectors or local anesthetics. In some cases, combined treatment is used. Drug hypersensitivity reaction is best understood and described for immediate reactions occurring mainly after the use of antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or local anesthetics. This article highlights the importance of substances with rare describe hypersensitivity reactions. A case of patient with hypersensitivity to Procto-Glyvenol, a drug contain tribenoside and lignocaine. In the diagnostic process emphasizes the use of epidermal patch testing as an essential test in response to topical agents and in reactions delayed. Drug hypersensitivity reactions to tribenoside are very little known and rarely reported.
