The author analyzes how new expositional principles of showing modern artistic practices connected with Russian art tradition were developed during that difficult transition period. Among them one can single out exhibitions dedicated to the creative heritage of famous dynasties of Russian artists (including the Vasnetsovs, Zhilinsky, Rukavishnikovs, etc.).
